For the autumn, the owls, and the warmth of falling leaves. Simple concept here, I was really just chasing some contrast and a bit of moody lighting. It seemed an appropriate concept for a Northern Saw-whet Owl in October. I've been lucky enough to experience the incredible migratory movements of this species up close as a participant in North American owl monitoring and banding programs - unforgettable experience, incredible bird.
